Poker Mavens lets you create a server for poker playing with your friends over the Internet or home network whenever you want to have some fun.
The software comes in two parts: a free Client Module that each player uses plus a Server Module that coordinates the action for each game. A designated game administrator can run the Server Module in private mode so that only their friends can join in, or in public mode so that anyone can join in and have some serious fun.
Here are some key features of "Poker Mavens":
· Play Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit Texas Hold'em from 2 to 9 players in single table tournament (Sit & Go) style
· Graphical user interface displays player avatars, cards, and chips with sound effects
· Basic game statistics and hand histories available to all players
· Bo th Client and Server Modules run on any Windows PC connected to the Internet or any TCP/IP-based local area network
· Client Module is freeware
· Low cost Server Module (only $29.95) is licensed on a concurrent game model and is available in a free trial version
· Game administrator (who can also play) can use passwords and blacklists to manage player access and can configure starting chips and blinds schedule
Requirements:
· Windows 98/ME/NT/2000,/XP
· Video resolution 800 x 600 or higher
· Internet connection
· Two to nine players running the free Client Module
· A designated game administrator running the Server Module
Limitations:
· Restricted to 500 hands of Limit Hold'em
